Digital investigation & forensic analysis

For individuals, businesses and legal professionals

OaOa Informatique - Digital investigation Tahiti - Analysis of digital traces and evidence

With more than 15 years of experience in computer forensics, OaOa Informatique carries out digital investigations for individuals, for businesses, and within court proceedings (requisitions, bailiffs, courts).

Nathalie Cinquin, an IHEDN auditor and data recovery specialist, puts that expertise to work on private and judicial cases alike.

The cases most often brought to us involve deleted data, data theft and hacking.

We work for private individuals (personal disputes, separation, online harassment), for businesses (internal fraud, data theft, security incidents) and for legal and insurance professionals: law firms, lawyers, bailiffs and insurance loss adjusters. We regularly work with lawyers, who entrust us with the technical analysis of digital media filed in a case.

Our work is fast, reliable and confidential, with particular care given to the chain of custody.

Frequently asked questions

Will my case be kept confidential?

Yes, completely. Every case is handled under professional secrecy, and the chain of custody is documented at every step.

My data was deleted after a hack, can you help?

Yes. We regularly work on hacking cases involving deleted data: file recovery, analysis of connection and intrusion traces, identification of the accounts involved, and a digital investigation report.

Can you analyse a mobile phone?

Yes, on Android smartphones and iPhones in particular. Depending on the model, its system version and the data still available, our work can recover deleted messages (WhatsApp, Messenger, SMS), contacts, photos, videos and histories.

We also carry out digital investigations in cases of fraud, hacking or dispute, analysing what is found, reconstructing a timeline where possible, and producing a digital investigation report.

Can I ask for a forensic analysis as part of my divorce?

Yes, provided you are entitled to access the computer or device concerned. We can, for example, analyse a family computer or a device you own or co-own. However, certain personal data, accounts or correspondence belonging exclusively to another person may remain private, even when held on that computer.

We can search for, preserve and document digital evidence, and produce a technical report for your lawyer that may be filed in court proceedings.

We do not act where an analysis would require fraudulently bypassing the protections of an account or device, accessing data belonging exclusively to a third party without authorisation, or unlawfully infringing their privacy.

Can a forensic investigation be used in court proceedings?

Our digital investigations can be carried out in the context of a civil, commercial or criminal dispute. They can give rise to a detailed technical report setting out the methodology used, the findings made, and the digital evidence identified and preserved during the analysis. This report can be given to a lawyer or filed in court proceedings, subject to the assessment of the competent judicial authorities.

How long does an investigation take?

Every case is different. Allow at least 15 days for a smartphone, and 15 days to 3 weeks for a hard drive, digital forensic report included.

How much does a forensic investigation cost?

The forensic pre-diagnosis is deducted from the invoice if you go ahead, and its price is on our Rates page. The investigation itself is quoted individually, after the pre-diagnosis, depending on its nature and duration.
