Data recovery and forensics on servers, RAID arrays and NAS.

A server, RAID array or NAS failure can bring a company to a standstill overnight.

For more than 20 years OaOa Informatique has supported major accounts across French Polynesia on RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, RAID 10, RAID Z, Matrix RAID and other configurations, on every system (Windows, macOS, Linux).

Our RAID recovery service covers the full range of failures to give the highest possible chance of recovery, however complex the case, including critical failures: hardware failure, logical corruption, a failed RAID rebuild or a network fault.

After the recovery, we can reinstall the whole server if needed: Windows system, programs, accounting, email, with your data put back in place.

If your server failure is the result of hacking, ransomware or a security incident, we also work in Digital Forensics & IT Security to investigate where the incident came from, alongside the data recovery itself.

Frequently asked questions

Do you reinstall the server after the recovery?

Yes. We fully reinstall the Windows server: system, programs, accounting, email, and we put the recovered data back on it, ready to use. It is often what gets a business running again fastest after a failure.

A drive in my RAID array has failed, should I replace it myself?

Absolutely not: a rebuild risks making the failure worse. Switch the NAS or the server off, and have the drives analysed and then cloned before any rebuild.

Go to a certified and approved data recovery specialist.

Should I switch the server off straight away?

Yes, switch it off immediately, before doing anything else.

Do I need to bring every drive in the array?

Yes, bring every drive in the RAID array, not only the one that failed.

Do you come on site for a business server?

The equipment has to be brought to us. On-site visits are for computer repair; recovery from a server, RAID array or NAS is carried out in the workshop.
