Cookies policy

This page explains which cookies are used on oaoainformatique.com, what they are for, and how you can accept or refuse them.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by the website you are visiting. It is used to recognise you from one page to the next, to remember your choices, or to measure how the site is used.

A session cookie disappears when you close your browser. A persistent cookie stays until its expiry date, or until you delete it.

2. Your choice, and how to change it

On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or refuse the cookies that are not essential to the running of the site. Your choice is kept for 365 days.

You can change your mind at any time by clicking the cookie settings icon shown at the bottom of the page.

Strictly necessary cookies cannot be refused: without them the site cannot work. They are not used to track you, and not used for advertising.

This site sets no advertising cookie and does no behavioural targeting.

4. Third-party services on the site

Some pages call on external services. When such a service is loaded, your IP address is necessarily sent to it, since it is your browser that contacts it.

  • Google Analytics — measures how the site is used. Sets the cookies listed above.
  • Google reCAPTCHA — protects our contact form against automated submissions.
  • OpenStreetMap — displays the location map. No cookie is set; your IP address is sent to the map server so that it can deliver the map tiles.

5. Managing cookies from your browser

Independently of this site's banner, your browser lets you view, block or delete the cookies already stored. The setting is usually found in the preferences, under "Privacy":

Please note: if you delete all cookies, you will also delete the one that records your refusal — the banner will reappear on your next visit. Blocking all cookies may also stop some features of the site from working properly.
